Hi everyone! We’re really looking forward to some of the upcoming events, think you’ll like them too 🙂 

This week, we came across a thought provoking article about ‘learning out loud’ and the broader theme, learning as an adult in informal (e.g. ungraded) environments.

This topic and sentiment resonates with us very much. We are advocates for open education and building in public. Smartspaces is our passion project where we try to engage our curiosities and reach like-minded people (you, hopefully :) ).

There is a challenge here, with lots of potential missteps. For us, and I suspect many of you, it’s a question of balancing breadth and depth. When does curiosity become ‘haphazard’ or ‘aimless’? Does it at all? What is the optimal way to balance ‘chaotic energy’ and ‘deep focus’? — Let us know what you think.

As we prepare a new, more exciting ‘era’ for Smartspaces, we want to find new ways of encouraging spontaneity and curiosity in all directions. We hope to provide part of the platform to take you in whichever direction your curiosity takes you. 💙
